August Cooking Class: Farm to Fork with Thomas Hill Organics

This cooking class takes students on a farm to fork culinary journey.  Students will enjoy a farm tour led by Joe Thomas, owner of Thomas Hill Farms and Thomas Hill Organics Market Bistro and Wine Bar. The farm will be in full production at the end of August, with many stone-fruits, herbs and heirloom tomatoes just at the peak of ripening!  With fresh, organic ingredients in hand, students will venture back to the Niner Wine Estates Demonstration Kitchen where Thomas Hill Organics Chef, Julie Simon, will lead students in preparing a farm-fresh menu of heirloom tomato salad, ricotta cheese and Italian salsa verde, whole branzino, rabbit mole with candied peppers, crème fraiche and macerated onions, and a fresh fruit tart utilizing the hand-picked stone-fruit.  When the cooking is complete, students will sit down with Chef Julie to enjoy an elegant luncheon, paired perfectly with Niner Wine Estates award-winning wines. Cost is $165 per person; $132 for Club 9 members and $123.75 for Club 9 Onyx members.
