Gastropub combines craft beer, food, music and more
– After closing the doors of its beloved Garden Street brewpub last December, SLO Brew has announced the highly-anticipated opening of its new location on Higuera Street at the heart of Downtown San Luis Obispo.
Just steps away from its former location, the SLO Brew is debuting a music partnership with The Knitting Factory Presents, a menu curated by Chef Thomas Fundaro and new craft beer flavors.
SLO Brew is introducing a new gastropub concept with its opening. Featuring a full-sized restaurant with expansive indoor and outdoor dining options, SLO Brew’s new menu complements the brewery’s famed selection of craft beers while adding a twist to locally-sourced and seasonal ingredients. In addition to the variety of signature pizzas, pub favorites and shareable plates on the menu, 14 taps will pour SLO Brew’s four signature beers along with its own specialty and seasonal brews, as well as one or two guest taps.
Launching its lineup of intimate performances and electrifying shows, SLO Brew is proud to announce its partnership with national entertainment group the Knitting Factory, who will be managing SLO Brew’s talent booking duties. In addition to the exciting slew of upcoming concerts, SLO Brew features rustic and industrial décor, an entertainment space outfitted with a state-of-the-art sound system, a mezzanine level Whiskey Lounge with views of the stage and an al fresco creekside dining area.
In addition to the opening, SLO Brew is also announcing the opening of its brand new downtown lodging option, The Lofts. The Lofts offers guests convenient and comfortable one-, two- and three-bedroom accommodations that are perfect for any type of celebration or getaway. Also on the horizon is the opening of The Rock in August, SLO Brew’s brand new brewery featuring an expansive 30-barrel capacity brewhouse, tasting room, biergarten restaurant, casual outdoor seating and spacious concert venue. When opened, The Rock will be one of the most versatile event spaces available in San Luis Obispo.
