–Shopping at Allure Clothing in downtown Paso Robles doesn’t stop with the latest fashions. Fashion, accessories, hair and skin care, home decor and gifts for ages, even something for the baby, complete a wide selection of locally made merchandise. For shoppers from out of the area Allure Clothing is also online with free shipping!
Allure owner, Carly Torres, opened the store in 2015 when she was 17 years old and still in high school. “It was struggle while being in high school still yet managing to be here every single day as my own employee for the first year. I couldn’t have done this without my parents help and especially my mom for filling in for me when I needed her help.” Today, two years later, Torres has added an employee and said operating a successful business “has been nothing but satisfying. Never give up even when it’s hard because it’s so worth it.”
The boutique carries a variety of hot selling local items such as natural ingredient hair and skin care from Rosen Skincare, vegan based soaps and soy candles from Artisan Soapery and organic lip balms from RAW Lip Balm. Torres said Allure is a favorite local shopping spot for affordable denim, and “our wide selection of bralettes.” Other customer favorites include: handmade wooden signs from Burlpbella, flavored pistachios from the Pistachio Factory, onsies and tees from the Sea Farer Studio, hand painted wine glasses and mugs by Lady of the House Designs and the book “Mended:
A Southern Romance (Sweet Home Dixie,” by local author Kayla Marie.
The owners of Rosen Skincare and RAW Lip Balm are contemporaries with Torres. Torres went to school with Jamika Martin, owner of Rosen and has known Avery Shannon who owns RAW Lip Balms for a while. “It’s just awesome that we’re all so young and going this together and thriving,” said Torres.
Torres said her love for fashion is her inspiration behind Allure Clothing. “I really wanted there to be a place to find all the new trends, for them to be affordable and still get quality.” Torres opened the store first, then began working on launching the website.
Shoppers will find sales happening all month anytime they stop by, and new arrivals and styled outfits are announced on the store’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. Facebook and Instragram followers are also treated to the opportunities to participate in online giveaways and other special offers.
