Tucked unassumingly inside the compound of one of the largest and well-known fitness facilities on the central coast, Serenity Spa at Kennedy Club Adventure offers visitors a luxurious full-body and mind experience.

Stepping into Serenity Spa at Kennedy Club Adventure’s eclectic lobby gift shop provides an irresistible escape from the world outside. Inspired paintings, handmade textiles and sparkly bling offered by local artisans create a colorful backdrop to the welcoming reception area. As warm scented aromas and soul-soothing music fill the air, guests are pampered with a fluffy white, Boca Terry robe and anti-microbial slippers and offered their choice of beverage – from water to herbal tea.

Providing this transformative experience is Spa Director and Coordinator, Emily Tucker, and her dedicated team of therapeutic experts.  “We are the sanctuary within the club offering a unique blend of services that truly make this a wellness spa,” she said.

Practicing the art of well-being, Serenity Spa offers a variety of restorative therapies. “Every level of bodywork is available,” explained Emily, “from sports, deep tissue, and prenatal massage to cranial sacral therapy, myofacial release, Japanese hot stone, aroma therapy massage and reiki healing.”

Guests suffering from disorders stemming from chronic pain, stress, toxicity and deficiencies can schedule a visit with Dr. David Ramsey, chiropractor and nutritionist. Dr. Ramsey specializes in Functional Medicine, treating those with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalances, digestive and immune disorders, spine and joint pain, arthritis, neuropathy, depression and anxiety. “He is the only practitioner in the tri-county area to employ the advanced pain relief therapy of the K-Laser,” said Emily. This FDA approved device is used to help decrease inflammation, pain and scar tissue formation.

Additional services include Stott Pilates on the Reformer offered in private, semi-private and group settings. Emily, who is also a trained instructor explains that, “Pilates is a mind-body exercise used to help increase strength, develop flexibility and endurance without bulking up or putting too much stress on the joints.”

Of course, no spa would be complete without skin and nail care. Operating with the highest standard of sanitation in the county, Serenity Spa’s nail technicians offer manicures, pedicures and glitzy nail art using acrylic-free, natural nail care techniques.

Experienced aestheticians offer waxing and sugaring, another form of hair removal, along with signature facials and peels. Plus, the spa is the only location in San Luis Obispo County to use “DermaSweep,” the most advanced technology in microdermabrasion.

And if your skin doesn’t have that sun-kissed look you crave, custom airbrush tanning using an all-natural sunless tanner made with anti-oxidants and pure botanicals, is available.

“We are truly the one-stop shop for beauty and wellness in Paso Robles,” said Emily.

Guests of Serenity Spa can purchase a day pass to the adjacent Kennedy Club Adventure for $15. The 42,000 sq. ft. fitness center is equipped with an NBA regulated indoor basketball court, two racquetball, handball and wallyball courts, climbing wall, large spinning room and over 50 pieces of cardio equipment.

Visitors to the club can enjoy a healthy breakfast, lunch, or snack from the Kennedy Kafe. Beer and local wine is also offered, with seating and service available on the sun deck by the salt-water, Olympic size, 50-meter outdoor pool.

Serenity Spa at Kennedy Club Adventure welcomes individuals and groups for a unique stress-reducing experience. The spa is located at 500 South River Road in Paso Robles, and is open Mon/Wed: 9-6pm, Tues/Thurs/Fri: 9-5pm, Saturday: 9:30-2:30. Closed on Sunday.
