touch of Grenache), and Inception
(Cabernet Sauvignon with a kiss of
Syrah).
The Asuncion Ridge brand was
launched with the 2005 vintage,
which focused on pinot noir. The
winery continues to spotlight this
varietal with a third tasting option
of five wines made exclusively
from pinot noir, including a rosé
and select bottles from Windward
Vineyards.
Director of Hospitality John
Teeling sees a lot of potential for
expansion. “We’re very excited
about this new location. It’s a
beautiful property, and we can’t wait
to harvest our first cabernet and
syrah grapes from this vineyard.
The added space opens the door to
more events and growth. There are
so many possibilities here.”
Starting in June, the winery
hosts a First Friday Live Music
night every month from 5:30-8 p.m.
The patio features local musicians,
and food is available for purchase
along with wine by the glass and
bottle. First Fridays are free for club
members.
Another wine club perk at
the new location is a dedicated
members-only area. On busy
weekends, VIP guests can enjoy
exclusive lounge access while savor-
ing their wine.
As Asuncion Ridge continues to
evolve, its people and commitment
to hospitality remain unchanged.
Guests are still welcomed by
familiar faces, and the owners often
mingle with guests during events
and weekends.
John is also looking forward to
getting to know his winery neigh-
bors better. “The local wineries
on the Backroads Wine Trail have
made us feel incredibly welcome.
There’s a special sense of commu-
nity here, and we’re thrilled to be
part of it.”
Asuncion Ridge, located at 180
