Welcome to
San Luis
Obispo County
Thank you for reading this lat-
est summer issue of the San Luis
Obispo County Visitor’s Guide. Dis-
cover the many opportunities for new
adventures, great food, award-winning
wines, and the memorable experi-
ences that come with the area’s famous
hospitality.
Welcome to summer, with warm
days perfect for enjoying the beaches
and visiting the many landmarks
throughout the area. Spend your days
sightseeing, browsing, and shopping
at some of the most unique shops and
galleries in California.
The next several months bring crisp,
sunny mornings, warm and energizing
afternoons, and cool evenings—perfect
for enjoying excellent wine and your
favorite Central Coast activities. Enjoy
an afternoon of wine tasting, followed
by unwinding with a delicious dinner
and a good night’s rest, ready for the
next day’s adventures.
On these pages, you can learn what’s
new at some of your favorite places and
be among the first to experience the
newest things to do and see! And if you
run out of time, remember that you are
always welcome back to explore more!
Summer isn’t
complete with-
out the California
Mid-State Fair.
Get ready, get set,
and go to the 2025 California Mid-State Fair
from July 16 through July 27 at the Paso Robles
Event Center. There’s something for everyone.
This year’s theme, “Off to the Races”, brings the
thrill of high-speed rides, friendly competi-
tion, and daring adventures.
Five stages, including the Frontier Stage
and La Cantina, are included with fair admis-
sion. The famous Mid-State Fair concert series,
held in the Chumash Grandstand Arena, hosts
ten nights of internationally renowned artists.
Don’t miss out on the magical world of the
carnival and the country rodeo finals, Monster
Truck Madness, and the free entertainment,
merchandise, gifts, food, and beverage vendors
located throughout the fairgrounds.
On behalf of our entire staff, I would like to
extend a warm welcome. We hope you enjoy
your stay.
Beth Brennan and her family
welcome you to San Luis
Obispo County.
