As day turns to night, the fun
intensifies as the sun sets behind
Hollister Peak and the glowing sky
takes second stage to nine thirty-
foot LED interactive targets which
flash and pulsate when hit by a
golf shot. Swing Time has ten bays
on a single level with comfortable,
climate-controlled outdoor seat-
ing and over 30 TV screens.
SLO County Golf Course
Superintendent, Josh Heptig, says,
“Swing Time is best described as
a combination of a driving range,
sports bar, pinball machine, and
bowling alley all wrapped into one
place to play, eat, drink, and be
merry. Rent one of our comfort-
able bays to hang with friends,
enjoying a delicious meal while
hitting shots with a glass of local
wine, beer, or cocktails. Swing
Time brings a unique experience
to the community.”
Need a break between rounds,
or just want to hang out? Relax
and enjoy delicious treats and
drinks served onsite.
Stay and play
Dairy Creek is located within
El Chorro Regional Park, with
cabins and a campground a short
walk or golf cart ride from the
course. The park features 61
campsites (43 full hook-up sites
with electricity, sewer, and water,
and 18 primitive sites with water
nearby). Each campsite accom-
modates six to eight people,
and either a couple of tents or
a full-sized R.V. The maximum
trailer length at some of the sites
is 40 feet, and there are a couple
of pull-through sites. Restrooms
and coin-operated showers are
available. Cabins are also in the
plans. Make reservations up to
six months in advance through
slocountyparks.com.
Dairy Creek is the perfect
venue for events from birthday
parties to music festivals. Car
shows, art and wine events,
reunions, weddings, company re-
treats, and the renowned Shabang
and Live Oak Music Festivals all
have a home at Dairy Creek. “If
you can dream it, we can do it” is
the philosophy at these stun-
ningly beautiful grounds. Make
reservations and discover new
events at dairycreekslo.com.

In the ‘fore!front’ of fun
The course has been wildly suc-
cessful and added a new dimension
to SLO County’s demand for out-
door recreation. Golf, an 18-hole
disc golf course, games, great food
and drink, camping, and events are
just the beginning. Dairy Creek has
been a great course to play since
1997 and has been celebrated as a
pioneer in environmental manage-
ment, inspiring conservational
efforts and zero-waste innovations
in the county.
Return often to play and stay,
and watch the grounds grow as
more camping structures and
amenities are being added to the
property, with 22 cabins already
erected. The location is jaw-
droppingly beautiful, the food is
exceptional, and the opportunity to
unwind while playing a round or
two is practically guaranteed.
Dairy Creek Golf Course is lo-
cated at 2990 Dairy Creek Rd in San
Luis Obispo. For more information
