Pig Iron at the Templeton Mercantile—
the hottest spot in town
Featuring a family-friendly
California comfort food menu,
Pig Iron has something for kids and
adults. Choices like the one-third
pound Classic Burger, crave-worthy
seasoned French fries, and the
savory Tri-Tip Torta are favorite
offerings. The dedicated kids’ menu
includes choices such as mini corn
dogs and chicken nuggets.
Brunch-exclusive dishes and
drinks such as the Chicken &
Waffle Sandwich, breakfast burrito,
and Bloody Mary are available
Saturday and Sunday between 8
a.m. and noon.

Abundant indoor seating is
available in Pig Iron’s brightly lit
dining room or cozy bar, nicknamed
The Engine Room, a nod to Temple-
ton’s rich railroad history. The spa-
cious outdoor patio provides ample
space for groups, with heaters and
a fire pit for comfort. Arcade games
keep the whole family engaged while
enjoying a meal together.
Right next to Pig Iron is the
Club Car Bar, a western lounge and
live music venue that has quickly
become a favorite in the community
for weekly concerts and events.
Recently voted “Best North County
Bar” by the New Times “Best Of
SLO” contest, Club Car continues to
gain traction in all arenas.
Pig Iron and the Club Car Bar
have become the Templeton hot spot
for dining, cocktails, live music, and
wallet-friendly prices.
The Coffee Shop is the newest
addition to the Mercantile. Open
daily, the shop features locally-
roasted Spearhead espresso and
coffee, tea, and fresh pastries deliv-
ered daily from Backporch Bakery.
Made-to-order lattes, matcha, and
seasonal beverages add to the wide
variety of experiences offered at this
downtown staple.
Club Car Bar
Templeton’s only full bar, the
Club Car Bar, features regular live
music from an eclectic lineup of
talented musicians while serving
up fine-crafted cocktails, wine,
and beer. Ranging from boot-
scootin' classic country artists to
acclaimed singer-songwriters,
there is something for everyone
on the event schedule.

frame out the Club Car, with
hand-cut wood floors comple-
menting the curved marble-
topped custom bar. Familiar
spirits such as Crown Royal and
Jameson are stacked alongside
specialty bottles, appealing to
cocktail aficionados. House-
produced karaoke nights, trivia
nights, and weekly line dancing
featuring a live DJ pepper the
brimming event calendar.

Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-9 p.m.,
Friday 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturday 8
a.m.-10 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m.-8
p.m., with weekend brunch from 8
a.m.-noon. Club Car Bar is open
Tuesday-Thursday, from 5 p.m. to
10 p.m., and Friday-Saturday, from
6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Coffee Shop is
open Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-2 p.m.
and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
