Mo’s Smokehouse BBQ is open for business on Monterey Street in SLO

—24 years in the San Luis Obispo County community have made Mo’s Smokehouse BBQ a local staple. After a year of being closed for renovations, Mo’s on Monterey Street has reopened to the public.

Downtown San Luis Obispo was the location of the first Mo’s restaurant. Ten years ago, Mo’s moved to 1005 Monterey Street, where they are today. Hours at the remodeled Monterey Street location are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.

The menu at the remodeled location is serving up all the old favorites from the original menu, with the addition of macaroni and cheese and a beer and wine bar. Mo’s now offers ten beers on tap and four wines on tap, along with bottled varieties of both.

Another addition from the remodel is five big screen TVs for fans who come to Mo’s to watch sports games.

“We’re still the same Mo’s that San Luis Obispo has known for 24 years,” said Nancy Snyder, General Manager. “But it was time for an update. Monterey St. is being updated and revitalized and we wanted to be a part of that!”

Mo’s has also offered catering services for 24 years. Their catering menu of smoked meats, trimmings, salads and breads can be tailored to a family BBQ, a wedding reception, winery event, birthday party, anniversary or a company BBQ for 500 or more.

MO’s operates two other locations in Pismo Beach and Chico, CA. For more information, visit www.mosbbq.com.
