—Local “plein air” artists Mike and Rosemary Bauer are in their fifth year of participating in Arts Obispo’s Open Studios Art Tour, normally held each fall in October.
This year, Arts Obispo is sponsoring an encore spring event to the 2017 fall art tour. It takes place on May 5-6 2018, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. “It’s an incredible opportunity for the public to see original art free of charge, and to be able interact with the artists” says Rosemary.
As a couple, Mike and Rosemary offer a unique twist for the Open Studios Tour. Both are accomplished painters, and both share a love of the outdoors. The two find interesting perspectives and shapes when composing their paintings, whether on location or in their studios. However, Mike and Rosemary each has their own style.
Visiting their catalog locations 150 and 151 in Arroyo Grande gives the public an opportunity to see two artists in one stop, as well as other nearby artists in the area.
