The Great American Melodrama
Theatre in Oceano is a unique
evening of music and comedy that
has thrilled audiences since 1975.
The theatre offers fun, interactive,
family-friendly performances with
top-tier professional actors from all
over the country who deliver the
best performances on the Central
Coast.
The Melodrama offers fresh, funny
shows with titles seen nowhere else.
Modern musicals or contemporary
takes on familiar stories are per-
formed in true melodramatic style.
Audiences are encouraged to boo the
villain, cheer the hero, and swoon for
the lovers.
The actors greet you at the door,
show you to your seats, serve food at
the snack bar, and celebrate birthdays
There’s food, too,
so try not to laugh
with your mouth
open
and anniversaries in the crowd. With
a wide variety of food, beverages,
and a third-act Vaudeville Revue, an
evening at the Melodrama is three ex-
periences in one, full of music, parody,
and comedy sketches.
Coming attractions include a
special twist on the legend of Bonnie
and Clyde and the Melodrama’s
highly anticipated annual Holiday
Extravaganza.
Bonnie and Clyde meet Jekyll and
Hyde, and there’s a battle between
good and evil to be won, or not.
September 26-November 15.
Scrooge rediscovers his Christ-
mas cheer in the Holiday Extrava-
ganza’s delightful tale. Laugh with
the wacky cast in a fairy tale operetta
that’s gone off the tracks. Sing along
to the tunes in the Holiday Vaudeville
Revue. November 15-December 31.
