The excitement of Cruisin’ Weekend makes people dance in the streets
The free weekend kicks off with the 32nd Annual Hot El Camino Cruise Nite on Friday, August 15, at 6:30 p.m. The popular event continues on Saturday, with the 34th Annual Mid-State Cruizers Car Show at Atascadero Lake Park, followed by the 9th Annual Dancing in the Streets in Downtown Atascadero.
Don’t be late! The entire Cruisin’ Weekend is one of the largest and most anticipated annual events in San Luis Obispo County.
On Friday evening, 350 cruisers from the 1950s and 1960s come to Atascadero from across California. These beautifully restored vintage cars cruise El Camino Real on Friday, between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. Over the years, Cruise Nite has grown into a fun, anticipated weekend event for locals and visitors.
Following the Cruise Nite festivities is the Mid-State Cruizers Car Show at Atascadero Lake Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. This is when you get to check out the variety of antique and vintage cars close-up. For more information on Mid-State Cruizers Car Show, visit midstatecruizers.org.
