bocce ball wine tourGrapeline Wine Tours is offering wine tasting tours featuring Eberle Winery, Bianchi Winery, and Robert Hall Winery – each boasting a flight of wines and bocce ball courts for fun in the sun.

This chartered wine tour ensures a safe ride, lots of wine, and an organized tournament for each group. The first stop is Eberle Winery with its’ informative behind-the-scenes tour and extensive tasting flight. The first round of bocce competition starts here with Eberle’s extra wide court overlooking the beautiful vineyards.

The next court is at Bianchi Winery where guests enjoy an elaborate gift boutique, wine tasting flight near a warm fire, then out to the extended deck to watch the large Koi fish in the lake while enjoying a catered lunch from Odyssey Café. This state-of-the-art winery also produces some lesser-known varietals called Refosco and Barbera to honor their Italian heritage. Their bocce ball courts are right near the lake, within earshot of the waterfall on the opposite side.

The last stop is Robert Hall Winery, a SIP certified winery who won the Golden Winery award in 2010 from the California State Fair. Guests can take pictures with the life-sized golden bear trophy in the tasting room while enjoying a full flight of wine tasting poured by their knowledgeable staff. After tasting, guests will head to the last games of the bocce tournament on two regulation bocce courts built in the old world style, with crushed oyster shells and a layer of oyster shell “flour.” These courts are surrounded by vineyards and provide a great location for the playoffs.

The bocce Ball Wine Tour departs at 10:30am from all area hotels and concludes at approximately 5pm. It is available for private groups of 10-20 guests and pricing is $169 per person all inclusive. This tour can be booked any day of the week. Reservations are required.
