Yogafest returns to Avila Beach Aug. 12

–The ultimate yoga experience lands on the shores of Avila Beach with the second annual “Yogafest” on Sunday, Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. It all takes place at Avila Beach Golf Resort (6464 Ana Bay Road, Avila Beach), where an expanse of colorful, airy fabric shade structures will beckon yoga enthusiasts of all levels.

Here, celebrity yoga instructors, 40 artisan craft vendors, and stunning ocean views will star amid a day of health, wellness and fun. Drop-in communal yoga classes will be offered in open-air settings: beneath tents, and even on paddleboards!

From beginners to hardcore yogis, guests of all ages are welcome to bring their yoga mats and take part in a wide range of classes taught by internationally famed instructors such as Brittni Soo and Mary Beth LaRue, a Legacy Global Yoga Ambassador for Lululemon Athletica. Favorite local instructors will also be leading workshops in yoga, meditation, sound healing, acro yoga and inversions.

Additional activities include the “Makeshift Makers Market,” which will feature 40 local artisan craft vendors offering everything from pottery and oils to jewelry and art; stand-up paddleboard classes taught by The Paddleboard Company; live painting and art led by Forever Stoked; a braid bar by Twig & Arrow Salon (for VIP ticketholders); aerial silk performance and instruction by Lily Grace Quirk; and live music by DJ HyFi; Proxima Parada; and Cimo Brothers.

Renowned local food vendors will be on hand including The Grilled Cheese Incident; Fire & Wine; Farmhouse; Bliss Café; Olde Port Inn; Whalebird Kombucha; Kacey Cakes (GF and vegan desserts); and Strictly Vegan. Cocktails and other beverages will also be available.

General Admission ($45) includes on-site parking and unlimited access to multiple classes throughout the day, while VIP tickets ($100) include access to the Lululemon lounge and its bottomless kombucha bar and luxury wellness experience. The event is free to children ages seven and younger who enter with a paying adult.
