Vina Robles: where European inspiration meets California character

Vina Robles is more than a winery – it’s a grand space, complete with a14,000-square-foot hospitality center and amphitheater. Various venues can hold
private tastings for 20 or business meetings and wedding parties for up to 3,300.

The Vina Robles Amphitheatre features well-known acts, with the 2017 summer and fall lineup including big names such as Idina Menzel, Michael McDonald, Boz Scaggs, The Doobie Brothers, and Chicago. The layout ranges from tiered seating and fixed seats to the casual lawn area to the exclusive VIP boxes with a private entrance and lounge.

Founder and proprietor Hans Nef established Vina Robles in 1996. An entrepreneur from Zurich and avid collector of Bordeaux, Nef branched into importing wines from California and elsewhere into Switzerland. His dream of crafting distinctive, hand-crafted wines was realized when he discovered Paso Robles.

Winemaker Kevin Willenborg currently crafts an annual production of 40,000 cases. He brings nearly 30 years of collective experience, gained from working in such prestigious regions as Bordeaux, Napa, Sonoma and British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley.

Vina Robles, located just off of Highway 46 at 3700 Mill Road in Paso Robles, is open daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 1 to Oct. 31, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 1 to April 30; closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. For more information, visit vinarobles.com or call (805) 227-4812.
