Thursday, September 14th, 2017

Half off pricing zipline tours for children at Margarita Adventures Zipline Tours happens through Oct. 1

Back to school means “Back to Adventure” at Margarita Adventures, as kids 17 and under enjoy 50 percent savings on zipline tours when accompanied by a paying adult from now through Oct. 1.

“Back to school doesn’t have to mean an end to the family fun,” said Karl Wittstrom, proprietor of Margarita Adventures, located on the historic Santa Margarita Ranch. “This is a great way to reward a job well done or give kids something special to look forward to on the weekend.”

When the special pricing is applied, children may take a zipline tour for just $39.50 on weekdays and $44.50 on weekends. The offer applies to one child per paying adult, and cannot be combined with any other discounts or gift certificates.

All guests have to do is choose “Book Now” on the Margarita Adventures web site; select the tour date and time, and the special pricing is automatically calculated for all tours through Oct. 1.

Tour includes six epic ziplines

Margarita Adventures features six ziplines spanning more than 7,500 total linear feet. Better yet, the guided tours introduce guests to Santa Margarita Ranch’s colorful history as part of California’s famed Mission Trail. Nature and wildlife education are also a part of the experience, as are insights into sustainable agriculture.

It all begins with the Double Barrel—an epic 2,800-foot tandem ride that concludes with a walk on the wild side across a 300-foot suspension bridge.

Next, the 1,300-foot Renegade soars over a valley with breathtaking 360-degree views. The Woodlander glides along the top of native blue and white oaks. The Hilltopper begins with a running start and concludes on a hilltop vista, while the Archway sends guests through a natural archway of companion oaks.

The tour concludes with the Pinot Express, which travels 1,800 feet over a Pinot Noir vineyard and into the P.W. Murphy Mining Camp, a replica 19th century gold mining camp created by TV’s The Redwood Kings. Nearby is an educational display of the massive 10,000-year-old oyster fossils that are prevalent across the ranch.

“Children not only enjoy an unforgettable adventure on our tours, they also learn quite a bit,” Wittstrom said. “So even when they’re out here, you could say that school’s still in.”
