There are two stand-out, scheduled social tours; visit three breweries with the “Hoppy Hour” on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., while the Saturday “Sip of SLO” explores the beer, cider and wine scene from noon to 4 p.m. More personalized tours can run every day depending on guest schedules, and in addition, Be Hoppy Tours offers team-building tours, scenic tours, party tours and transportation-only options.
“We are a small business looking to collaborate with local craft beverage companies to create effective joint marketing campaigns that will capture the attention of locals and visitors, promoting our area and supporting our ventures. San Luis Obispo County is a growing craft beverage region with breweries, cideries and wineries and we want to bring SLO into the forefront featuring these diverse, delicious beverages,” Moody said.
Be Hoppy Tours was previously known as Hop On Beer Tours, which has been in operation since 2014. When the business went up for sale, the current owners decided to purchase and rebrand in 2022. Moody and DeHart started their friendship over 20 years ago while working in Sacramento, with Moody noting that “even after we were no longer living in the same geographical area, we have always made it a priority to travel together; our joint constants being fun, friendship and wine!”
