Antique store is one of a family of three stores located throughout San Luis Obispo County
—Rhonda O’Dell is a charismatic local business owner and antique enthusiast with three prime antique store locations throughout San Luis Obispo County. She owns Pismo Pickers Antiques and Vintages, which has been in operation for five years, Rhonda’s Relics in Arroyo Grande, which has been in operation for one year, and The Barn, a brand new location in Santa Margarita, which is fittingly located inside of an old antique auction house barn.
If you are looking for a more authentic antique store experience, head to Pismo Pickers, says O’Dell. There you will find a massive collection of vinyl records, as well as collectible coins, vintage jewelry and clothes, fishing gear and tools, toys, collectibles, and more. They are open daily with new arrivals coming in all the time.
Looking for unique vintage furniture and mid-century finds? Head to Rhonda’s Relics in the quaint village of Old Town Arroyo Grande. This antique and vintage marketplace features over 20 local vendors with a unique variety of eclectic items. O’Dell also hosts a monthly flea market at her Arroyo Grande location.
Her latest endeavor, The Barn, features vendors with vintage clothes, jewelry, furniture, and “mid-century treasures,” according to O’Dell. She says she had to jump on the opportunity to rescue the old barn, which had already been an antique shop before she took over. O’Dell says she kept seven of the original vendors and welcomed 13 new ones. “I hated to see it just sit there,” she said, of the barn, a valuable antique in itself.
