Along the way, cross a 300-foot suspension bridge and enjoy stunning aerial views of valleys, mountains, and forests. Can you escape?
ESCAPE! at Margarita Adventures offers four escape room experiences with unique storylines that test your wits, imagination, and ingenuity. An escape room is a “locked” space in which guests work together to solve interactive puzzles within a specific time frame to escape.
This year, ESCAPE! at Margarita Adventures opened the final two episodes of its “Renegade” trilogy, a spaceship-themed experience with three separate missions, challenges, and storylines. The original escape room experience, Rita’s Relics, takes you on a journey that spans Egyptian antiquity to futuristic worlds.
Acclaimed by beginners and escape room enthusiasts alike, ESCAPE! at Margarita Adventures is renowned as one of the nation’s most innovative escape room experiences—and as one of the top-rated things to do on the Central Coast.
Nature tours and trail rides
Margarita Adventures offers awe-inspiring nature tours and scenic horseback trail rides.
Margarita Adventures Nature Tours illuminate the workings of our natural world while providing you with insights that will last a lifetime. Nature tour experiences include Eagle Tours, Ranch Tours, and seasonal Wildflower Tours on the stunning Santa Margarita Ranch. It’s one of the best family-friendly things to do in the region.
Margarita Adventures partners with Central Coast Trailrides to offer horseback riding on the ranch. Three distinct trail ride options are available, ranging from a gentle one-hour introduction to a two-hour golden adventure along the ridgeline. There’s nothing like taking a trail ride into the ranch’s natural wonders and wild west roots.

Wine tasting, too
At some point in wine country, all roads lead to wine, and Margarita Adventures is no exception. They offer a Zip ‘n Sip package with their affiliated Ancient Peaks Winery. It’s an opportunity to taste wines from the vineyard you just zipped over. Tastings are held at the Ancient Peaks Tasting Room and Café just across the street from the tour office in Santa Margarita.
Ancient Peaks specializes in Margarita Vineyards estate-grown chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, zinfandel, and other wines. The winery is owned by the same three longtime local winegrowing and ranching families who operate Margarita Adventures.
