SLO Farmers Market begins selling beer

Friday, August 11th, 2017

–The Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market has begun to sell beer on Broad Street and Chorro Street. SLO Brew, Libertine Brewing Company, and Underground Brewing Co. will be joining The Market on Broad Street, with BarrelHouse Brewing Co. and Central Coast Brewing joining the farmers on Chorro Street. These breweries will be selling sealed bottled/canned beer to bring home –not to be opened within The Market- as well as merchandise and small bites from their respective kitchens. All participating breweries are located within easy walking distance of The Market, should attendees wish to purchase a full pint to drink after the tasting.

The Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market is every Thursday evening on Higuera Street between Osos and Nipomo streets from 6-9 PM. Live entertainment will continue as scheduled on these streets. Both the Chorro Street and Broad Street expansions are listed on the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market Facebook page. The public is encouraged to attend and RSVP via the Facebook events. In honor of National Farmers’ Market Week this week, market patrons are encouraged to use the hashtag “#LoveMyMarket” and tag @downtownslofarmersmarket and @farmersmarketsofslo in their social media posts. Those that post will have a chance to win fun prizes.
