SLO Wine Country Association seeking ‘good cause’ to benefit from 25th annual ‘Harvest on the Coast’ auction happening November 7

San Luis Obispo area non-profit organizations are invited to apply for charity monies raised at the San Luis Obispo Wine Country Association’s Harvest on The Coast Auction happening November 7, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Avila Beach Resort as part of the larger “Harvest on the Coast” celebration weekend (November 6 – 8).

“We are seeking nonprofit organizations in San Luis Obispo who are in need of additional funding and whose missions support our community,” said Heather Muran, executive director of the SLO Wine Country Association. “We want to make an impact on a local non-profit and encourage programs that enhance our area. We bring together the excitement of an auction, wine enthusiasts and our local wine industry to support that cause.”

Applications for this year’s event will be accepted through July 10. An applicant will then be chosen as the beneficiary of this year’s “fund a need” program. Applications may be found at by clicking here or by calling (805) 541-5868.

The live auction portion of the event features a “fund a need” lot from which all proceeds go directly to the nonprofit group. The nonprofit organization selected will receive recognition in the auction brochure and throughout all marketing promotions prior to the event. The nonprofit organization is also invited to have a spokesperson say a few words to the crowd about their cause prior to the auctioning of the lot.

During the past six years, the SLO Wine Country auction has raised a total of more than $53,000 for a variety of local non-profit organizations.
