Inaugural Rosé of Grenache launches a shared commitment of craftsmanship and sustainability

—Croma Vera Wines launched into its 10th year with an intriguing line of low-to-no-alcohol cocktails and beverages, and a unique partnership to preserve and protect Central Coast lands.

The family and pet-friendly tasting room brings an elevated experience to visitors. Along with enjoying Croma Vera’s excellent wine, patrons now have low-alcohol and no-alcohol options to sip along with their cheese and charcuterie plates, or vegan pairing choices.

Croma Vera has also partnered with the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County (LCSLO) to create a special Rosé of Grenache that honors the land, the community, and the art of sustainable winemaking. A portion of the wine’s sales is dedicated to supporting LCSLO’s work.

Croma Vera Wines is a boutique, urban winery in San Luis Obispo, specializing in Spanish-variety wines with character, balance, and a modern California twist. The winery has carved out a niche with wines like albariño, tempranillo, graciano, and bold red blends sourced from sustainably farmed local vineyards.

Elevating the experience

Inspired by Spanish classics, low-alcohol cocktails are handcrafted with Croma Vera wines and premium mixers from Yes Cocktail Co. in Paso Robles.

Staying true to Croma Vera Wine’s commitment to authenticity and craftsmanship, the cocktails highlight natural ingredients and vibrant flavors. The list of vegan cocktails ranges from 4% to 6% ABV. Who can go wrong with tempting choices inspired by the seasons, wines, and spices of Spain?

  • Tempranillo & Amaro Twist features tempranillo wine, non-alcoholic amaro, and lemon soda.
  • Hibiscus Cali-Mocho blends red wine, Mexican Coke, and hibiscus rose mixer.
  • Spicy Grenache Spritz, a blend of red wine, with blood orange and chili pepper mixer.
  • Tinto de Verano combines red wine with lemon soda.
  • White Wine Spritzer, a refreshing option with white wine and blood orange soda.

For those who prefer no alcohol, choose from a carefully curated selection of thoughtfully crafted zero-alcohol beverages made from high-quality, natural ingredients. Beverages include the favorite Mexican Coca Cola, Estrella Galicia 0% Pilsner-style lager from Spain, the Ginger Rose Cocktail made with hibiscus rose mixer and ginger beer, San Pellegrino Italian soda and sparkling water, and the Spanish Codorníu Zero Sparkling Rosé.

Whether someone is reducing their alcohol consumption or simply looking for a refreshing alternative, Croma Vera is committed to providing a high-quality selection of beverages that don’t compromise on flavor, craftsmanship, or enjoyment.

The LCSLO partnership—a shared commitment to sustainability

The new partnership fuses Croma Vera’s decade-long dedication to producing wine from sustainably managed vineyards with LCSO’s mission to conserve the diverse wildlands, farms and ranches of the Central Coast.

The newly introduced Rosé of Grenache symbolizes the partnership and features the Pismo Clarkia on the label. The Pismo Clarkia, an endangered wildflower native to the protected lands of the Pismo Preserve.

“Sustainability has always been at the heart of Croma Vera,” said Mindy Oliver, owner and founder. “From sourcing SIP-certified sustainable grapes to reducing our environmental footprint, we’ve made it our mission to respect the land that makes our wines possible. Partnering with the Land Conservancy felt like a natural extension of that commitment. This Rosé is more than a wine—it’s a way to give back to the land that nurtures us and the community that supports us.”

A portion of the proceeds from this wine supports LCSLO’s work in protecting and restoring natural lands across the Central Coast. LCSLO has been a champion for conservation in San Luis Obispo County since 1984, protecting over 26,000 acres of farmland, wildlife habitats, and open spaces. The organization’s work ensures that future generations can enjoy the region’s natural beauty and biodiversity.

“This partnership is about more than just a bottle of wine,” said Christa Stoll, Community Engagement Coordinator at LCSLO. “It’s about telling the story of the land—the Pismo Preserve, the endangered Pismo Clarkia, and the ongoing efforts to conserve these spaces. We’re thrilled to collaborate with Croma Vera to raise awareness and funds for conservation.”

With this partnership, Croma Vera Wines and LCSLO invite wine lovers and conservation enthusiasts alike to join in celebrating a decade of craftsmanship and stewardship. Every bottle of the 2024 Rosé contributes to protecting the lands that make San Luis Obispo County a treasure for generations to come.
