Good food, great sights, and lasting memories!
—Enjoy the beauty of Morro Bay from the deck of the Chablis. Get up close and personal with the wild inhabitants of Morro Bay, watch sea lions, harbor seals, egrets, white pelicans, and of course those adorable furry sea otters.
Chablis Cruises offers public cruises and hosts private charters for all occasions. Public cruises include their famous Brunch cruise on the second Sunday of the month and Chowder Cruises every Saturday and Sunday. “You get to experience the beauty of Morro Bay from the water and enjoy fresh made-from-scratch food, and hand-crafted drinks,” says owner Annie Clapp. Along with farm-fresh and locally sourced food, the Chablis features a full bar with craft beer, local wine and mixed drinks. The signature bloody Mary comes with an array of locally sourced and pickled vegetables.
Chablis cruises is a family business. Annie and her family operate the vessel, this includes captaining, catering, and service. The Chablis’ office is virtual and Patti, AKA Annie’s mom and partner, returns calls. The behind-the-scenes booking and bean counting are done by Shasta AKA Annie’s sister and a third partner. Shasta and Patti are both retired military.
How did a riverboat get to Morro Bay?
In 2007 Big Rock Charters LLC purchased the Chablis and sailed it from San Francisco to Morro Bay. She is a unique, 50-foot, two-story flat-bottom riverboat that sails guests along the calm waters of the harbor. A cruise on the Chablis is perfect for the whole family, a wonderful way to experience the natural beauty of the area and create lasting memories.
The bottom level of the boat has a spacious dining room and the open-air upper level has a viewing deck, perfect for sightseeing or an al fresco dining experience. Chablis Cruises aims to please. The elegantly decorated interior with its panoramic windows and rooftop deck is the perfect setting for parties, business meetings, bridal showers, weddings, receptions, and events of all kinds. Check out the website for help planning your event. There’s no reason to postpone your party!
