Founded in 2003, Line Shack Winery was the realization of over two decades of Balentine family winemaking experience. With this venture, owner/winemaker team Bob and Daphne Balentine set out to produce affordable, world-class wines from California’s Central Coast, particularly from the new San Antonio Valley AVA in Southern Monterey County. The San Antonio Valley is the site of California’s second mission, Mission San Antonio, where some of the first wine grapes were ever planted in California. This region provides warm days followed by cool nights, enabling fruit to achieve extended hang time and maximize its true varietal characteristics.
Our vineyards are located in the San Antonio Valley, a 1200 foot high Mountain Valley in the heart of the Santa Lucia mountain range and several miles inland from the Pacific Ocean on the Central Coast of California. The region is quickly becoming renowned for the excellent warm-climate Bourdeaux and Rhone grape varieties. The wines produced are intensely flavored, full-bodied reds and whites of exceptional character.
To round out our portfolio, we source small amounts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit from the cooler Santa Lucia Highlands, also located in Monterey County. All of our wines are made in an approachable style that is both respectful to the varietal and representative of the California South Coast terroir. Mitchella is a small family owned estate vineyard and winery located on the eastside of Paso Robles along the HuerHuero Creek, we are committed to making small lots of premium handcrafted wines and believe it starts by attentively cultivating quality wine in the vineyard. In 1982 the Eberle Winery production facility and tasting room were open for business and in 1994 Gary expanded underground, building the first wine caves in Paso Robles. Now, over 30 years later, Gary Eberle and his wife Marcy still greet guests daily with complimentary wine tastings, public tours of the production facility and 16,000 square feet of underground caves. They also play host to a variety of delicious and entertaining events held at the winery throughout the year.
In Italian, Fratelli Perata means Perata Brothers. Maternal Grandparents Brothers, Gino and Joe Perata, rekindled the winemaking history of their father, grandfather and great-uncle when they established their winery using grapes grown on their 31 acre vineyard. Sons of Italian immigrants, Gino and Joe learned winemaking at the knees of their father and great-uncle who produced hundreds of gallons of wine for family and friends while living in Camarillo located in Ventura County, California. A deep and abiding respect for Laetitia’s estate-grown fruit is the mark of Eric Hickey’s winemaking. Beginning his hands-on training in the cellar at the tender age of 16, Eric has lived and breathed Laetitia all the way to the top, where he is now the Head Winemaker and the winery’s President. “I keep it simple,” he says, “and I stay eye-to-eye with Lino because the interplay between us is what determines the wines’ quality. Everything done in the cellar starts with what we do out in the vineyard.” While Eric makes a point of experimenting with small lots each vintage, his style is fundamentally built upon finding balance, finesse, and the essence of the fruit he has come to know for so many years. Our philosophy is to be a farmer first, and then a winemaker. As my grandfather used to say “if you grow good grapes, you’ll have good wines”. Since the old days of winemaking is long-gone, and most wines are now mass produced with emphasis on taste and price. We decided to trademark ourselves as “full blooded” meaning we do everything on one site and under our control; from growing the grapes, to harvest, processing, winemaking, storage, and selling, all from our tasting room only.
To us it is all about being small, but be the best at what we do. Even if it means that we focus on our (15) acres Westside Paso Robles grapes, and less than 2,000 cases in total production annually, then so be it. Established in 2005, Vines on the Marycrest is an award-winning, boutique family winery driven by a love of wine, music and art. Farming leads the way with vineyards of old vine zinfandel, tempranillo and Rhône varietals which are sustainably dry-farmed and head-pruned. Wines are award winning, handcrafted Zinfandel and Rhone Blends, (all named after popular songs) which capture the spirit of the Paso Robles appellation. LXV’s winery is located in the exclusive Willow Creek area of the westside of Paso Robles near Linne Colado and Saxum. The Mittals currently source their fruit from other vineyards nearby, but have land set aside for planting some day.

Join us May 2, 2020 for Wine, Beer, Food, Boutique Vendors and Live Music in the beautiful Templeton Community Park. The Templeton Wine Festival is produced by the Templeton Chamber of Commerce.

Ticket are $40 pre-sale until Friday May 10th at Noon and then $50 at the door (starting at Noon on Sat. May 2nd) and include unlimited wine tasting, souvenir wine glass, live music and plus boutique shopping booths. Spend the afternoon under the shady oaks of the beautiful Templeton Community Park and enjoy dancing, wine tasting, shopping and gorgeous spring weather!
Food available for purchase, no outside alcohol, coolers or pets allowed. Low back chairs or picnic blankets welcome. Non drinking attendees are $20 each. This is a 21 and over event.
