You can’t make world-class oil out of poor-quality olives. The growers do a terrific job of caring for their orchards, and it’s our responsibility to mill their olives into quality oil. Over the years we have milled many prize-winning olive oils, including Best-of-Show and Best-of-Class not only at the California Mid-State Fair in nearby Paso Robles, but also at the Yolo County and Los Angeles County Fairs, two of the three largest olive-oil competitions in the world.

About the business
Dan and Rachel Ryan purchased Shoreline Awning & Patio from the original owner, Russ Meznarich in 2024. Serving Central Coast communities since 1982, Shoreline Awning and Patio is the perfect match for the Ryans.
Born and raised on the Central Coast, the couple lived and worked around the country, finally returning home to Templeton in 2013. Dan put his background in construction project management to work by opening a new branch for BBSI, a company providing safety, human resources management, and workers’ compensation for the local construction industry.
Dan’s construction background focused on hangar projects for the aviation industry. “The opportunity to acquire Shoreline Awning & Patio piqued my imagination,” said Dan. “Awnings, sun shades, cabanas, and outdoor living enhancements all share an aerodynamic aesthetic with aviation design that I found highly appealing.”
The company has an excellent reputation in Central Coast Communities and the Ryans are committed to taking the founder’s vision for Shoreline Awning & Patio to the next level. The company works closely with homeowners, business owners, contractors, developers, landscapers, and architects to bring stunning custom shade structures and environments to the Central Coast.
