We Olive was born from passion; a passion for locally sourced, healthy, delicious, artisan extra virgin olive oil! It was nearly a decade ago when we first noticed an increase in the consumer’s demand for this type of product; so, coupled with this knowledge and our own passion, the first We Olive store was opened.
Opening that first store was a dream come true for us. We had officially created a place where local growers, chefs, and guests alike could experience, learn about, and purchase the California-made olive oil we’d come to know and love. Of course, having a wonderful product isn’t the only key to success. From the very beginning we’ve been committed to exceeding our guests’ expectations in product quality, customer service, and providing an unparalleled educational & culinary experience. The combination of our educational “Olive Oil Experience” and a tasting-oriented wine bar make We Olive a unique destination for foodies everywhere.

Yves and Clotilde Julien began what is now Olea Farm by planting 1200 dwarf olive trees on their hilltop property in Templeton with the intention of making olive oil for their own use. However, they did not anticipate the amount of olives that these trees would yield. What was meant to be a small project eventually grew into Olea Farm.
Frank and Marti Menacho began Olivas de Oro Olive Company in 1999 when they bought an orchard near Oroville, California. The trees on the property were old growth olive trees and while they established their business in Northern California, they were looking for a property on the Central Coast. In 2007 they bought acreage in Creston and began the monumental task of uprooting 2000 of the 103 year old trees and moving them to the new location. Pasolivo olive oils are made from olive trees grown sustainably on its 140 acre ranch in Paso Robles, CA. The ranch produces premium extra virgin olive oils from its 11 varietals that are hand-picked, milled and master-blended on the property. You can’t make world-class oil out of poor-quality olives. The growers do a terrific job of caring for their orchards, and it’s our responsibility to mill their olives into quality oil. Over the years we have milled many prize-winning olive oils, including Best-of-Show and Best-of-Class not only at the California Mid-State Fair in nearby Paso Robles, but also at the Yolo County and Los Angeles County Fairs, two of the three largest olive-oil competitions in the world.
Kiler Ridge Olive Farm is a 58-acre family farm in the coastal hills of central California, just minutes from downtown Paso Robles. Our central coast climate and chalky soil are ideal for olives. We use sustainable farming practices, and currently maintain 2500 olive trees — varieties originating from Italy and Sicily.
The farm’s first year of olive oil production was 2010, and that year, as well as each following year, our Kiler Ridge Extra Virgin Olive Oils have won medals in important olive oil competitions, including the Los Angeles International Olive Oil Competition, the Der Feinschmecker international competition in Germany, and the California Olive Oil Council competition.
During October, November and December, we are harvesting our olives and releasing limited quantities of our extremely fresh Olio Nuovo olives oils. In February through April, we release our new season’s clarified and Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oils.
