Testimonials:

“A group of 9 of us found our way into the Arroyo Robles tasting room last Saturday after a late lunch and couldn’t have been happier about it. Russell was working behind the counter and was incredibly friendly and accommodating which was particularly impressive because we were not the calmest of groups. He was talkative with everyone and very informative. I think we would all return to the tasting room, just for the atmosphere he created.” – Jessica B.

“We asked about the sparkling wines and Russell said he wasn’t pouring them that evening, but would let us taste since we seemed nice and were just going with the flow. We enjoyed all of the wines he poured that night and took home 5 bottles! That’s the most I’ve even bought at one time. My faves included the Almond Sparkling Wine and the Emergency Relief blend and I’m looking forward to enjoying them here at home. We’ll definitely make this tasting room again when we come back in the spring!” – Frances G.

ONX QPH VG46.jpg
2910 Limestone Way, Paso Robles, CA 93446, USA

At ONX we focus on farming our crops with the understanding that the fruits of our labors will be realized in a glass of wine… your glass hopefully!  There is a French term, elevage, which is applied to wine and it translates to “the educating or upbringing” of wine like parents do with their children.  We like to extend that notion into the vineyard and believe that we can train the vines into producing the best possible fruit for wine production.

Our winegrowing goal each year is to raise concentrated and highly expressive fruit. We balance our crop to allow the vines to focus their energy on a limited number of clusters.  The vine canopy is manicured to allow dappled sunlight penetration and air movement within the vine canopy.  We employ a variety of trellis approaches that match our rootstock, scion, and soil combinations.

Unhindered by convention, the ONX Winemaking Team strives to create balanced wines that reflect both the place the grapes were grown and the vintage in which they were born. From rule breaking to blind blending, each vintage of ONX Wines is completely different, yet delightfully cohesive.

Rotta Winery HPV VG46.jpg
250 WINERY ROAD, TEMPLETON, CA, 93465

The Rotta tasting room and winery is located in the Templeton hills, and features a unique blend of history and modern winemaking technology. One thing that’s definitely staying is the old redwood sign with “Rotta Winery” neatly hand stenciled in white paint. “I painted that sign when I was ten years old,” remembered Giubbini.

1122 Cocktail Lounge is a new concept for Paso Robles, a speakeasy cocktail lounge. The lounge is located at 1122 Railroad Street in a mysterious large wooden door only marked with its logo nearby. Press the doorbell and a host will open a small window. If there is room available, they will seat you. If not they will let you know how many groups are in front of you and they will page your cell phone when a table is ready. They are not accepting reservations. The bar has been open to the public since June 8.

The concept was developed by the owners of Fish Gaucho and Pappy MacGregor’s and is located directly behind Pappy’s on the same property lot.

True to a speakeasy, the venue is fairly quiet with good background music. The menu is filled with delicious craft cocktails of all kinds.

Enjoy!

FRATELLI PERATA HP VG53.jpg
1595 Arbor Road, Paso Robles, CA 93446

In Italian, Fratelli Perata means Perata Brothers. Maternal Grandparents Brothers, Gino and Joe Perata, rekindled the winemaking history of their father, grandfather and great-uncle when they established their winery using grapes grown on their 31 acre vineyard. Sons of Italian immigrants, Gino and Joe learned winemaking at the knees of their father and great-uncle who produced hundreds of gallons of wine for family and friends while living in Camarillo located in Ventura County, California. Gino and Joe were taught from the very beginning about the need for hands-on work to produce top quality wines. LINE SHACK HPV VG59.jpg
840 11th Street, Paso Robles, California, USA

Founded in 2003, Line Shack Winery was the realization of over two decades of Balentine family winemaking experience. With this venture, owner/winemaker team Bob and Daphne Balentine set out to produce affordable, world-class wines from California’s Central Coast, particularly from the new San Antonio Valley AVA in Southern Monterey County. The San Antonio Valley is the site of California’s second mission, Mission San Antonio, where some of the first wine grapes were ever planted in California. This region provides warm days followed by cool nights, enabling fruit to achieve extended hang time and maximize its true varietal characteristics.

Our vineyards are located in the San Antonio Valley, a 1200 foot high Mountain Valley in the heart of the Santa Lucia mountain range and several miles inland from the Pacific Ocean on the Central Coast of California. The region is quickly becoming renowned for the excellent warm-climate Bourdeaux and Rhone grape varieties. The wines produced are intensely flavored, full-bodied reds and whites of exceptional character.

To round out our portfolio, we source small amounts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit from the cooler Santa Lucia Highlands, also located in Monterey County. All of our wines are made in an approachable style that is both respectful to the varietal and representative of the California South Coast terroir. As Monterey County natives, we are proud to showcase wines from this beautiful region! We look forward to sharing our family tradition with you and yours!

Kiamie-QP-VG52.jpg
9750 Adelaida Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446, USA
Kiamie’s wines are unique blends of fruit from the mountain vineyards of Westside Paso Robles.
We proudly work with a handful of premium wine grape growers in the Paso Robles appellation, all of whom have longstanding reputations for growing the most premium wine grapes in the Paso Robles AVA.
It is our goal to make distinguished blends that represent the quality of the vineyard and fruit from which it is made. That is why Kiamie’s proprietors, Aram and Greg, have grown so fond of the Adelaida and Templeton gap sub-appellations. A small part of the AVA, which they feel, makes the best and most award-winning wines.
All of Kiamie’s fruit sources are from vineyards within a 2 mile radius of the tasting room, located at 9750 Adelaida Road.
We proudly work with the following distinguished Paso Robles vineyards:
• Starr Ranch
• Halter Ranch Vineyard
• Rolph Family Vineyard
• Hearthstone Vineyard
• La Vista Vineyard
6950 Union Rd Paso Robles CA 93446

As native New Orleanians, Tealy and Greg grew up in a culture of great jazz and good food. French wine was the principal accompliment to New Orleans cuisine at the time. Living in Europe during the 70’s and 80’s, enhanced our wine experience and appreciation of European wines. In the 90’s we returned to California and developed a greater appreciation of California wines.

After working for an international company for thirty years, we decided to start a second career dedicated to growing grapes and making great wines at affordable prices that enhance the culinary experience. After searching for a vineyard, we settled on the Central Coast of California in Paso Robles in 2007. It is still a place where the vineyard farmer and the wine maker are the same person and winemaking starts in the vineyard.

Castoro QP VG59.jpg
1315 North Bethel Road, Templeton, CA 93465

Castoro Cellars, which has been making wine in Paso Robles since 1983, was started by husband and wife Niels and Bimmer Udsen. Niels studied Ag Business at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. According to Bimmer, “When Niels graduated he wasn’t sure exactly what he wanted to do but the wine industry seemed appealing.” He started working at Paso Robles winery Estrella River Winery, and says Bimmer, “immediately fell in love with the wine business.”

Niels began making his own wine, which he and Bimmer would sell to friends and family. This eventually led to Niels and Bimmer starting Castoro Cellars, which now produces around 30,000 cases annually. Bimmer says of Paso Robles, “Ending up in Paso Robles was truly a blessing as the region has grown immensely since Castoro Cellars began making wines.” Read more here: https://www.slovisitorsguide.com/paso-robles/30-years-of-family-winemaking-at-castoro-cellars
