At JUSTIN, we combine traditional Old World methods—like hand-harvesting and small-barrel aging in French oak—with New World technology. For example: the “Air Knife,” an ingenious process invented by our winemakers, boosts grape quality and efficiency.

Once the grapes are harvested, our winemakers—some of the best in the business—gather to sort, select, age, taste, blend and decide what goes into every bottle.

Lago Giuseppe is a new family owned – and run – winery and event site situated along the rolling hills of Highway 46 West. We are nestled in the heart of the Paso Robles wine country, between Highway 101 and Pacific Coast Highway 1.

A truly unique location, Lago Giuseppe Event Site, La Piana, offers a private, natural setting for your special event. Our picturesque event site is hidden on the banks of a small lake, surrounded by the tranquility of a waterfall, mature oak trees and our estate vineyard. Founded in 2003, Line Shack Winery was the realization of over two decades of Balentine family winemaking experience. With this venture, owner/winemaker team Bob and Daphne Balentine set out to produce affordable, world-class wines from California’s Central Coast, particularly from the new San Antonio Valley AVA in Southern Monterey County. The San Antonio Valley is the site of California’s second mission, Mission San Antonio, where some of the first wine grapes were ever planted in California. This region provides warm days followed by cool nights, enabling fruit to achieve extended hang time and maximize its true varietal characteristics.

Our vineyards are located in the San Antonio Valley, a 1200 foot high Mountain Valley in the heart of the Santa Lucia mountain range and several miles inland from the Pacific Ocean on the Central Coast of California. The region is quickly becoming renowned for the excellent warm-climate Bourdeaux and Rhone grape varieties. The wines produced are intensely flavored, full-bodied reds and whites of exceptional character.

To round out our portfolio, we source small amounts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit from the cooler Santa Lucia Highlands, also located in Monterey County. All of our wines are made in an approachable style that is both respectful to the varietal and representative of the California South Coast terroir. History:

In the early 1970’s Michael Gill began his own practice as a dentist in Bakersfield. In 1977 during his weekend retreats to the central coast, Gill visited a barren 25 acres for sale in Peachy Canyon. At the time he acknowledged he had little intuition of the potential this property had for growing grapes. However his friend Robert Nadeau recognized its potential and lay out the grid work for the vineyard in 1998. After years of hard work, the perfect temperature and premier sole has created a perfect grape growing property. Now Gill Cellars is producing a modest 1,000 cases annually, ensuring quality and control in every bottle.

About:

Growing up in the oil fields of Taft, Gill was first introduced to fine wines during his postgraduate years in dental school. His best friends parents were professional photographers, and were hired to create extravagant displays of fine wine, cheeses, and food. The fate of these displays were at the mercy of Michael and his friends appetites, which would act as the initial catalyst of his taste for fine wine.

The genesis of the wine story for Pear Valley began in the late 60’s when owner Tom Maas was stationed on an army base in Germany…in the midst of a vineyard. Here he learned to love both wine and the vineyard. Decades later, when the kids were grown and responsibilities waned, he was free to pursue his dream of owning and living in a vineyard. It started with 20 acres in 1999 and now Tom and Kathleen own 113 acres where they dedicate their energy and resources to providing the best environment for growing premium grapes. The vineyards are operated with sustainable farming practices to ensure that the best fruit possible will still be grown there when their grandchildren operate the farm.

The next phase of the dream began in the Spring of 2008 when they broke ground on a 14,000 winery and 5,000 square foot tasting room. Continuing the dedication to providing the best environment possible, the winery and tasting room were designed in partnership with PG&E through their “Savings By Design” program to design buildings that are energy efficient and environmentally sound.

In August 2012 Pear Valley officially achieved Sustainability in Practice (SIP) Vineyard Certification. Located in the heart of the Willow Creek district on the westside of Paso Robles, Pelletiere Estate Vineyard & Winery can be found on a cozy corner on Township Road just off Highway 46w in the beautiful foothills of west Paso. The property has a local history dating back to the late 1890’s. The Rava’s own more than 1,200 acres of premium vineyards that span from the foothills of the Santa Lucia Range in Monterey County to the Rava Estate in the heart of Paso Robles Wine Country. Owner, Chad Rava oversees and manages all vineyard operations, new plantings and harvest decisions. By having a hand in all production processes, the Rava’s are able to focus on terroir driven quality and their signature sparkling wines.

Paso Robles Vineyards

The estate vineyards start with a 505 continuous acre property, located in the El Pomar District, one of 11 sub appellations in the Paso Robles AVA. Once home to an Arabian Horse Ranch, Rava Estate was established in 2016 by Chad and Lauren Rava.

Located adjacent to Rava Winery, the estate vineyard is planted to 15 signature varietals from Italian and French origins. You will find Grenache, Teroldego, Nebbiolo, Negro Amaro, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Primitivo, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Meunier, Calabrese, Tannat and Merlot.

The vineyard features warm daytime temperatures and cool marine breezes late in the day that flow through the Templeton Gap. The soils are a mix of loam, clay and limestone, providing excellent drainage and ideal growing conditions.
